- Full Time
- Diploma in ECEC or ACECQA approved equivalent
- Experience working in early childhood education, including previous assistant leadership or management roles.
- Current Working With Children Check clearance.
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability and willingness to stay up to date with changes within the Early Years and to continue to learn and develop your skills.
- The Assistant Centre Manager is responsible for managing all day-to-day aspects of the centre’s operations and provide leadership to ensure the provision of high-quality education and care in line with the National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework._
To do this, the Assistant Centre Manager will be responsible for:
- Build and develop a leadership team within the centre to develop, deliver and monitor quality curriculum consistent with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
- Provide inspirational and professional leadership to build a culture of staff engagement and teamwork
- Engaging in ongoing critical reflection to deepen personal learning and offer guidance to team members.
- Assisting educators on the floor to maintain appropriate ratios, steering practices, and providing mentorship.
- Establishing connections with children and families within the centre.
- Maintain effective communication channels with leadership, staff, clients, and stakeholders.
- Coordinate the childcare centre by allocating tasks appropriately across the team to ensure that the centre operates effectively and efficiently, including staff rostering within legislative and budgetary requirements.
- Maintain current professional knowledge and awareness of contemporary Early Childhood Education and Care practice, awareness of current trends and evidence-based practices to ensure quality service delivery
- Overseeing the operation and management of daily activities within the centre.
- Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate program that meets the needs of each child holistic development.
Pay: $73,150.00 - $75,000.00 per year
