We currently have an exciting opportunity for full-time permanent Sales Support Merchandise to join our Merriwa branch to help drive instore sales of our agricultural merchandise products.
About the Opportunity:
Reporting to the Branch Manager you will focus on developing strong customer relationships. Our customer base is broad and can include local farmers, primary producers and trade customers and the focus of your role is to provide a memorable experience for all customers either in store or over the telephone whilst:
- Performing general administrative tasks including stock control, ordering, receipting, and dispatching of goods
- Assisting customers with pricing and product queries
- Processing counter sales
- Maintaining safety processes
- Assisting with merchandise campaign material
- Maintaining a welcoming, friendly, and well-presented store environment
- Loading and unloading trucks, dispatching, and unpacking orders and deliveries
- This role includes a monthly rotating Saturday roster
Success in this role requires teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. You're passionate about Australian farming and agriculture, with a keen interest in animal health and rural merchandise. Ideally, you'll bring experience from a sales environment—but we welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds and skill sets.
You'll demonstrate:
- Effective verbal communication skills for building strong, long-term customer relationships
- A proactive work approach and practical organisational abilities
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Sound problem-solving skills and empathy for resolving customer concerns promptly
- The ability to identify opportunities for improving internal sales processes
- Competent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- A current driver's licence is required, and while a forklift licence is highly regarded, it's not essential.
