**About the role**

We are seeking a **Lead - Internal Audit**for Orica’s Melbourne office on a **12-month contract.** This role involves supporting Internal Audit’s strategic objectives, managing the Internal Audit Plan, overseeing Analysts to plan and deliver audits, drafting reports, assisting with ad-hoc investigations, and training and coaching the Analyst - Internal Audit.

**What you will be doing**

Your primary responsibility will be to scope, plan and deliver the internal audits by;
- Conducting global / risk-based audits and site visits to assess the design and operating effectiveness of systems and operations.
- Leveraging data analysis and reporting tools to identify actionable insights.
- Drafting internal audit reports concisely, with practical recommendations that contribute to adding value to the business.

In addition, you will be responsible for:

- Assisting with Board, Audit & Risk Committee papers, management requests and investigations.
- Supporting the successful implementation of the Internal Audit strategy, supporting initiatives across our four pillars of Stakeholder Engagement, People, Process, and Improvement.
- Coaching and managing the performance of the Analysts.

**What you will bring**
- 5 or more years of experience in a related operational assurance or consulting role preferably with exposure to complex operations in large multi-nationals or professional services.
- Tertiary qualified.
- Post-degree qualification highly regarded (Risk, Data Science, CA, CPA, CIA).
- Experience in managing end-to-end delivery of internal audit projects and coaching junior resources
- Ability to understand business processes, how they support organisational goals and deliver value to customers
- Demonstrated experience with risk identification and analysis of the associated processes and controls
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
