Federal Government Agency requires an EL2 Capital Work Manager to lead their capital works programme.

**Your new company**

A large Federal Government Agency that provides an integral service to the nation requires an EL2 Capital Works Manager to lead their capital works programme.

**Your new role**

This important leadership position will have delegate authority that will see you responsible for leading a team of highly motivated APS project / property professionals to ensure the capital work programme is efficiently delivered. Day too day this will see you responsible for:

- Leading and managing detailed and sensitive property projects.
- Managing end-to-end construction project management including, planning, design, approvals, procurement, delivery and handover.
- Writing business cases, plans, executive briefs, project reports, status updates and exception reports.
- Managing the project budgets, reviewing and reporting on expenditure.
- Identifying and managing program governance including the management of project risks, issues and benefits.
- Establishing and managing procurement and contracts for the delivery of the programme and monitor contractor performance.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Demonstrated experience managing a property related capital works projects or programs
- Relevant experience in project leadership and management roles
- Tertiary Qualification within Project Management or a related field will be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and experience dealing with complex and confidential issues across Government, with Industry and non-Government Organisations
- Comprehensive knowledge of Project Management and Construction management systems and principles.

**What you'll get in return**

This labour hire assignment is for an initial 12 months with the possibility of extensions, with a temporary hourly rate that is between $95/101 + Super / hr negotiable pending on experience.
