The role Develop, coordinate and implement strategic health, safety and wellbeing frameworks, systems, assurance programs and initiatives for the Queensland Health system. You will identify initiatives and projects to address key current and emerging healthcare risks and issues across the health system to ensure responsiveness and resilience.
You will be required to provide high-level advice and support to Hospital and Health Service executives, practitioners and human resources leaders across the health system to support effective operational implementation of the Queensland Health and Safety Management System and related strategic frameworks.

**The successful personYou will have demonstrated**:

- ability to provide effective leadership, management and expertise relating to safety risk management across multiple sites.
- thorough knowledge of contemporary health, safety and wellbeing strategies and initiatives with particular reference to design, implementation and evaluation within a large public sector organisation.
- highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- ability to work within a project management framework to achieve identified outcomes and timelines against agreed performance standards.
- highly developed and demonstrated interpersonal skills including conflict resolution, negotiation, consultation and verbal and written communication skills to manage people, situations and external relationships flexibly and responsively.
