**More about this role**:
You will be responsible for supporting the Unit Manager in maintaining compliance with food safety, Halal, and biosecurity disciplines. Additionally, you will manage food safety and compliance programs in conjunction with the General Manager - Quality Assurance and lead the team of Compliance Co-ordinators to ensure excellence in performance from both an execution and management perspectives.

**In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are**:

- Manage Food Safety and compliance programmers in conjunction with the General Manager - Quality Assurance that positions dnata catering as an industry leader in airline catering.
- Lead the team of Compliance Co-ordinators that will ensure excellence in performance, both from an execution and management perspective.
- Providing specialist advice and information to external/internal stakeholders in regard to Food Safety, Halal, Environmental, Biosecurity and risk prevention with guidance and clear guidelines always available.
- Seek out, quantify, and develop opportunities for process improvement.
- Conduct relevant sections of the induction process and ensure all staff are inducted in accordance with Company and legislative requirements.

**What do you need to be successful in securing this role?**
- Demonstrated success in a similar role.
- Tertiary Qualification in Food related discipline
- Lead or Internal Food Safety Auditor (RABQSA)
- HACCP qualification
- Experience in ISO22000:2018 certification
- Practical experience in a large food manufacturing environment involving QA, HACCP, Food Safety
- Ability to communicate related technical information to all levels of Staff within the business and externally.
- Ability to influence decision makers in appropriate control measures resulting from risk assessment.
- Eligibility to hold Aviation Security Identification Card
- Available for intermittent travel to QLD based sites (Coolangatta / Maroochydore, Cairns)

**Desirable**
- Halal compliance in a food manufacturing environment
- Experience in Biosecurity waste management and Approved Arrangements
- Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment & Training
