A fantastic opportunity at nbn, Australia’s largest infrastructure project, as the Finance Business Partner, reporting to the Commercial Finance Executive Manager SEO, where you will join the SEO and Corporate team key pillars within the Commercial Finance business unit.

A bit about your role

The Finance Business Partner, SEO Operations is responsible for providing high quality commercial finance support to SEO to enable the financial achievement of the long-term business plan for nbn. This role will be pivotal in providing commercial leadership as nbn implements cost saving initiatives. This includes the requirement to provide transparent and timely analysis to influence commercial actions of the business.

This role will be a trusted Business Partner for respective SEO General Managers and Executive General Managers and will provide commercial leadership in achievement of SEO Operational financial targets, this will include proactive insights and recommended actions to achieve SEO Operational Targets and the timely identification and communication of financial risks and opportunities

This role will be a key contributor in cost initiatives, ensuring agreed actions are in place to drive continuous cost improvements, and accountability for these initiatives are clear across the operational leadership teams (EGM / GM level) and will influence achievement of optimal financial outcomes of new contracts and renewals, including the accountability of this role for financial model reflecting outcomes.

A bit about you

To be successful in this role you will be CA or CPA qualified with extensive experience in financial and month end close ideally within organisations with major capital expenditure requirements. You will have advanced Excel skills and experience using fully integrated ERP software.

You will have exceptional communication and influencing skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders at all levels. The ability to analyse complex or diverse information and confidently provide credible problem-solving financial solutions.
