**Overview**
The role supports the IT Portfolio Manager in the reporting of the portfolio financial status as well as provide training and support to project managers to enable them to effectively manage project finances.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage the Portfolio finances ensuring alignment to strategy and financial year plans. Assist with the preparation of project and portfolio reports and graphs such as Earned Value.
- Drive financial management reporting requirements, undertake critical analysis of actuals versus forecasts and report to Senior Leaders, providing insightful analysis and key call outs.
- Contribute to the development of feasibility proposals/business cases as well as assist to develop processes to estimate and capture ongoing Capital (CAPEX) and Operational (OPEX) expenditure plans.
- Provide support and advice with respect to investment opportunities, including financial modelling (scenario and sensitivity analysis), business case review and benefit analysis.
- Provide financial performance and control including FTE and expense base management and the appropriate allocation of costs
- Provide consulting and training to Project Managers on how to manage project financials in Transport.

**Key Experience**
- Managing stakeholder expectations and delivering quality outcomes to agreed targets and timeframes.
- Ensuring alignment between IT Infrastructure Services Portfolio and group finance.
- Working across a multi-supplier, multi-agency IT ecosystem that has not yet reached operating maturity
- NB: The role operates with a high level of autonomy and is expected to determine key operational objectives within the limits of delegated authority. The role is accountable for the delivery of assigned work and is responsible for the quality, integrity and validity of the service provided._
