Box Hill, Australia Umbrella Dementia Cafes Full time

We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our team on a part time basis, 12 hours per week with capacity to increase hours based upon performance if desired.

Reporting directly to the CEO, our office is located in Box Hill. The annual starting salary is $20,600 including Superannuation Guarantee Contributions and is negotiable based upon experience. The salary will be reviewed after 6months based upon performance.

**Umbrella Dementia Cafés Ltd (UDC)** is a health promotion charity registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profit Commission. Our purpose is to promote and advance the social health and wellbeing for people and their support person who are experiencing dementia.

To achieve this purpose, we establish social peer-support groups called ‘cafés’ in local community houses, churches or lifestyle clubs by empowering volunteer teams to support the café. An Umbrella Dementia Cafés Fundraising and Community Awareness Coordinator supports the local dementia café through raising funds and building awareness and relationships with local communities to the cafés.

The Fundraising and Community Awareness Coordinator will;
- Be able to work towards fundraising targets and manage a fundraising budget,
- Coordinate two major fundraisers for the organisation, one in the Whitehorse area and one in the Mornington Peninsula area,
- Expand fundraising and through events and strong relationships,
- Build relationships with local businesses and communities to expand support for cafés including sponsorship for all UDC cafés,
- Manage two online fundraising campaigns, one in December and one in June,
- Manage all social media platforms to value add to the fundraising for UDC,
- Explore further fundraising opportunities for the organisation.

Have a good understanding of UDC and advocate for UDC values, vision and purpose, and will be an active contributor with a genuine interest in the company’s goals.

**Experience**

The Fundraising and Community Awareness Coordinator will:

- Be experienced in fundraising event management
- Have worked in project focused or goal orientated teams
- Experience in forming relationships with local communities and businesses
- Have qualifications or experience in community fundraising
- Be computer literate, with an understanding of typical Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Teams, Excel and Word, be able to easily navigate the Internet and smart phone technology.

Part-time hours: 12 per week

**Salary**: $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
