Deputy Municipal Building Surveyor

Prominent Melbourne based Council seeking a Deputy Municipal Building Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis. Specifically seeking a passionate, team focused individual to lead Council processes, comply with the requirements of the Acts while supporting the Municipal Building Surveyor.
As Deputy Municipal Building Surveyor, you will act as delegate of the MBS, while coordinating and leading the efficient operation of the building services team through all statutory, regulatory, and administrative functions as well as providing expert advice and assistance on all relevant matters to a wide variety of stakeholders.
You will be tertiary qualified and a Registered Building Practitioner in the category of Building Surveyor - Unlimited. Previous local government experience in a Senior position with expertise in leading, coordinating, and mentoring teams. In return you will be offered flexible working arrangements, part time options will be considered for the successful incumbent. You will be supported and empowered by a strong leadership team, offering training and development options.
