**The Melbourne Accelerator Program (MAP)**
MAP is one of the flagship entrepreneurship programs at the University of Melbourne, and is part of a rapidly developing entrepreneurial ecosystem around the University which has achieved national and international recognition. The entrepreneurial experiences which are made available to students and alumni of the University through MAP have been recognised as an integral part of the Melbourne experience.
**Translating Research at Melbourne (TRAM)**
TRAM sits within the Melbourne Entrepreneurial Centre a part of RIC at the University of Melbourne and is Australia’s premier University-based research impact accelerator program. TRAM participants complete programs and workshops that enable them to understand their target market, articulate the value of their research and create a viable path to impact, including grants, licensing and commercialisation opportunities, and getting to market.
**About the Role**
This is an exciting role for someone passionate about research impact and entrepreneurship. You will be directly responsible for leading and expanding the TRAM Runway Program; supporting the delivery of the vision and mission of the TRAM & the Melbourne Entrepreneurial Centre (MEC). You will get the opportunity to deliver a high quality, engaging and scalable experience for our research based participants, with a focus on operational outcomes, evaluation and measurement of the TRAM Runway Program, as well as other TRAM elements such as bootcamps.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the successful delivery of the TRAM Runway Program, including defining and incorporating best-practice knowledge
- Design and implement of the Runway recruitment and selection process
- Lead the development and execution of the TRAMx Bootcamp Series to create a yearly recruitment funnel.
- Develop and manage mentoring opportunities for Runway teams and collaborate with the broader TRAM/MEC to develop a unified approach to expert mentorship
- Develop strategic relationships with key stakeholders who provide value to the Runway Program and the broader TRAM/MEC mission, including entrepreneurs and local and international accelerator programs and benchmarking organisations.
**About You**
You are a natural people-person with exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and nurture relationships with a broad range of stakeholders. You are highly organised with highly-developed planning skills and a creative approach to problem-solving that enables you to manage competing priorities to meet deadlines. You are an excellent communicator and can produce high-quality written content including reports and documentation as well as deliver engaging public presentations.
You will also have:
- A relevant postgraduate qualification with extensive relevant experience and management expertise or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Awareness of the entrepreneurship environment in Melbourne, and a demonstrated understanding of the key elements of the process of forming a new business (preferably obtained through direct experience).
- Demonstrated ability to develop and operationalise strategy, manage projects, budgets and reporting.
- Ideally, understanding of the University environment, including liaising with student body and staff community.
