We are currently seeking a Quality Coordinator based in North Melbourne. This role is accountable for the coordination of all activities related to the North Melbourne Food & Safety and Quality Management System, ensuring compliance is maintained to the highest of standards and delivering products of consistent quality to our customers.
Supporting the Quality Manager, your core responsibilities will include:

- Implementation of any required standards to deliver products of consistent quality
- Ensuring compliance is maintained to a high standard for GFSI - BRC, Halal, Kosher
- Supporting internal audit programs including GMP, glass and hard plastic audits
- Building and maintaining relationships with the site operations teams, customer service, suppliers/subcontractors, sales, and customers
- Ensuring product test results comply with internal and customer specifications and they tested as per testing schedule and checked against agreed specifications
- Calibrating laboratory equipment on time per schedule, maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies in an orderly manner and identifying and driving continuous improvements in lab procedure
- Interacting closely with the operations teams to ensure Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety - HACCP and BRC and Customer requirements are embedded to a high standard on the shop floor
- Effectively managing customer feedback, leading investigations, and the complaints process
- Analysis of finished products and raw material including flour tracking, reporting and analysis
- Conducting training and development of staff in activities relating to quality
- A minimum of three years' experience in a Quality role within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of grain and/or baking industry
- Tertiary studies in Laboratory Technology or Food Science
- A sound understanding of key fundamentals relating to Quality and Food Safety Systems
- Principles and Applications of HACCP, GFSI - BRC, SQF or equivalent
- Industry and auditing experience essential including Internal Auditing Training
- Experience with Allergens and the management of these within a manufacturing environment
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel
