**Role Purpose**

The Bridge Church is seeking a part-time Assistant Children’s Pastor to be part of our Macquarie Park Congregational Team. You will lead our Children’s Ministry at Macquarie Park with the aim of seeing young people living for Jesus and loving like Jesus.

**The Opportunity**

We are looking for a suitably qualified children’s pastor to join our ministry team here at The Bridge Church, working in our Macquarie Park team. This role is a **part-time maternity leave cover** position.

Your role in leading Macquarie Park Kids Church will involve leadership of the kids’ team and ministry each week, recruiting and onboarding leaders, discipleship and training of leaders, oversight of rostering and communication to your leadership team, presenting and rostering kids talks and fostering a culture of intentional family discipleship among our Macquarie Park parents.

You will also be responsible for oversight of our Playtime ministry at Macquarie Park, including pastoral care and discipleship of these team leaders, and supporting them with rostering, resourcing, recruiting and onboarding, while also fostering the mission of Playtime and ensuring it reflects the distinctives of The Bridge Church.

We would welcome applicants with a broad experience base for this exciting role.

This role will report to the Children’s and Family Pastor and stipend will be in accordance with the diocesan remuneration guidelines, based on experience and qualifications.

- Leadership of Kids Church at Macquarie Park
- Oversight of Playtime Macquarie Park
- Member of the Macquarie Park Congregational Team
- Praying regularly for children, families and leaders at Macquarie Park

**Conviction, Qualifications and Experience**
- Person of Christian Character with demonstrated commitment to Reformed Evangelical Christian values.
- A life that demonstrates grace and the transforming sanctifying work of God
- A passionate love for both Christ and his church, and a desire to see lives transformed by the gospel
- A servant heart that is willing to commit to the mission and direction of the Bridge Church
- Teachable and willing to learn, with an ability to work both with and under authority, in the context of our ministry team and under the leadership of the Senior Pastor, the Children’s and Families Pastor and Site Pastor
- Demonstrated experience in Children’s ministry and leading ministry teams
- A heart for family discipleship and intergenerational learning
- Preferred - B.Th. degree or working towards degree in ministry

**Skills and Capabilities**
- Proven ability to teach the Bible faithfully, clearly, and practically
- Proven ability in pastoral care amongst congregations and community
- Proven ability to lead and train groups and ministry teams
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- A willingness to learn, grow, and adjust as the job may require
- The ability to work independently and as a team member

Competency with basic computer software
