**JOB TITLE**

**PURPOSE**

This position is responsible for assisting the marine supervisor and support marine risk management in the company.

The position, like the Marine supervisor has the key accountability to communicate with senior management on any task and work health safety or environmental risk factors involved in current or new work prospects.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITES**

Must liaise with the **MPM** and/or **MS** receiving contract work instructions and all related contract documents.

Must work closely with trades/operations to ensure that work schedules can be adhered to.

Must carry out risk assessments on all new job sites taking into consideration safety, quality and environmental risk factors making notes on SWMS’s and encourage employees to identify changes to conditions.

Must report all WHSE incidents to **MPM**, **MS, HSR** immediately.

Must communicate with **MS** on any health safety, quality and environmental issues on a daily basis.

Must ensure SWMS’s and SDS’s are current & available for tasks.

Must in accordance with contract work instructions if any required receive signature from client rep signifying physical completion of contract, ITP, project completion forms etc.

Must ensure all documents are completed in accordance with contract requirements and contract work instructions.

Must comply with Favcote, state and federal WHS, and EEO laws, legislation, regulations, Codes of Practice and Australian Standards policies and procedures.

Along with all team members, must ensure that their work environment is safe and clean.

Must have all training competencies and skill to carry out supervisory duties of team leader and corresponding teams on a daily basis, while working with the team leader/s.

Must assist the manager/supervisor in the production of a risk assessment on any major works or projects based on cost, resource capability and legal and other requirements for the project.

Must ensure SWMS’s are read, understood, and signed by all staff and prime contractor working on specific tasks and complied with.

Must ensure that all incidents are reported to **MPM,MS **and **HSR** **immediately** and that written reports are completed and lodged with **HSEQ/HR-M** within 24 hours.

Must assist Favcote Pty Ltd to achieve “Zero Lost Time” injuries.

Must report on material/PPE, safety equipment, stock levels and sourcing of human resources to manage the job.

Must ensure all relevant and required PPE is available and worn by all persons working on tasks and where PPE is identified as required and may not be available take the necessary arrangements to ensure PPE is sourced

Coordinate their own tasks and/or teams while assisting the **MS** with all necessary documents to complete the project.

Has the capability of preparing all documentation for a project, carry out the initial inspection and reports to the **MS**

Organises all necessary documentation with **MS** to commence a project, completing all inspections with the client, complete all testing reports via a paint record and prepare and finalise all documents to be handed to **MPM,** **MPA** when task are complete.

Must report all quality issues to **MPM, MS** within **24 hours** to ensure non-conformities are thoroughly investigated and recorded within the IMS.

Shall comply with the company’s adherence to Quality assurance standards ISO 9001, Safety AS/NZS 4801, Environmental ISO 14001 practices.

Execute and promote the Favcote mission, vision and values and lead by example.

Behave as a responsible team member of Favcote and work as part of a team.

**REQUIRED COMPETENCIES**

**WH&S WHITECARD**

Experienced Leading Hand for blaster painter

Experience in set up, maintenance of and use of blast gear and conventional / airless spray units

Must be able to drive

CSE, WAH within last two years

Cert 3 preferred

NACE 1 preferred

Must be willing to undertake a National Police Check

Must have rights to work in Australia

Must be willing to undertake a pre-start medical

Basic computer literacy for raising permits

Must have some experience in marine and risk management.

Must have site management qualifications or appropriate licensing.

Be conversant with legal and other requirements on contracts.

Must have strong communication skills, and the ability to positively influence clients and co-workers alike.

Must undertake any mandatory training as required by the Favcote safety management system.

Must have the ability to raise any issues that may arise.
Must have well developed written and technical documentation skills.
