About the Role
- Develop, promote and perform activities in all facets of the coding quality assurance program - clinical liaison, coding audit, education - ensuring a high standard of clinical documentation, coding accuracy, consistency and timeliness and accurate and optimal DRG assignment within an ABF environment.
- Contribute to the Coding Clinical Liaison program to improve quality of clinical documentation and provide education for clinicians and other health professionals regarding clinical documentation, coding, Hospital Acquired Complications, Diagnosis Related Groups and Activity Based Funding.
- Develop close liaison with clinicians and health professionals to facilitate timely responses to documentation queries and HAC confirmations
- Development and review of tools and procedures to improve documentation for coding.
- Develop and perform coding quality improvement activities suitable to an ABF environment including individual, targeted and service-wide audits, Queensland Health key performance indicator audits such as VLADs (Variable life Adjusted Displays) and other audits as required.
