Due to recent project growth, this organisation is seeking a Safety & Governance Specialist to join their team.

**Your new role**

This client is looking for an experienced Safety & Governance Specialist to join the business to; support, develop, improve and implement systems, processes and reporting capabilities to establish and embed risk and safety routines and practices within the Major Projects division. As the Safety & Governance Specialist reporting to Practice Lead Risk - Major Projects your duties will include:

- Lead governance activities to review the effectiveness of the risk management and assurance processes
- Record and manage risk information in the business risk management system
- Develop safety reporting metrics dashboards
- Develop and maintain the SharePoint site used to manage and communicate risk information, planning process and associated reporting
- Monitor and manage risk and safety data quality and integrity
- Deliver expert advice and information to stakeholders and promote risk management awareness and knowledge
- Role model and lead change to imbed a continuous improvement mindset related to risk management practice

**What you'll need to succeed***
- Formal training or qualifications in Health & Safety Management, Risk Management
- Proficiency in data analysis, BI reporting and SharePoint
- Experienced in conducting and facilitating risk and control assessments to ensure optimal control design and effectiveness
- Sound written and verbal communication skills; ability to work collaboratively and foster a teamwork atmosphere
- Aptitude for continuous improvement and simplification whilst confidently challenging the status quo in a supportive and inclusive environment
- Organising, analytical, evaluative and decision-making skills
