Safety Specialist opportunity on a 4:3 FIFO roster
**Your new company**
You will be working with an industry leading nickel producer, operating globally.

**Your new role**
- Implement the RNO Health and Safety strategy using your coaching and influencing abilities to build engagement and participation.
- Participate in pre-starts, toolbox meetings, safety committees; and coach supervision in soft skill and the delivery of safety messaging.
- Perform workplace audits and inspections as per the RNO governance and assurance schedule.
- Champion the risk assessment process on site, lifting the quality and understanding of risk management principals amongst the workforce.
- Lead incident investigations, coach the incident investigation process in the line; and assist with data entry of incident reports, injury reports and other relevant events into the INX system
- Maintain all safety records according to established procedures to ensure accuracy, completeness and privacy
- Assist in the development of graphs, reports and statistics for management, government bodies and internal use

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Degree qualified or Cert IV in Health and Safety is required
- Expert knowledge of relevant legislation: Mines Safety & inspection Act & Regulations, Dangerous Goods Act & Regulations, Occupational Safety & Health Act & Regulations
- Previous experience in a high hazard industry
- High proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
