John Holland CPB Contractors (JHCPB) is delivering the $750 million Western Harbour Tunnel Southern Works construction projects.

Western Harbour Tunnel - Stage One includes: construction of approximately 1.7 kilometres of twin three-lane tunnels between Rozelle and Birchgrove.

We are seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to join our Rozelle Interchange Team. This position will assist in supporting the Work, Health and Safety function under general supervision and implement safety practices, systems and procedures. The position will report to the Senior Safety Advisor.

**The Role**:
The role will incorporate a variety of responsibilities, including:

- Developing and reviewing SWMS and Safe Work Instruction in line with legislative requirements
- Reporting site safety performance in-line with Project OHS management systems
- Maintaining and implementing the Project's WHS policy, management plans, systems and procedures
- Support stakeholder groups and teams within area of responsibility such communicating with frontline employees and frontline managers
- Conducting regular site inspections, reviews and audits to schedule
- Incident reporting and investigation
- Providing guidance and safety support to the Project Team
- Conducting inductions, toolbox talks, and corrective action follow ups.

**What do we want from you?**:

- Ideally 5+ years' experience in a similar role
- Significant experience within Safety teams, preferably on large Civil Construction, Mining or Infrastructure Projects
- Ability to interpret project related documents, preparing reports and monitoring compliance documentation
- Ability to build relationships and rapport with people at all levels
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
