**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Due to continued growth, the need has arisen for a capable and mature Finance Controller to join the business to play an essential role in overseeing, managing, and reporting on the Company’s finances.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensure a smooth transition to a single accounting software within 3 months;
- Manage day-to-day accounting transactions and prepare monthly accounts;
- Undertake the reconciliation, preparation, and lodgement of monthly/quarterly business activity statements (BAS);
- Ensure all tax requirements are fulfilled;
- Manage the accounts payable including the processing of invoices due for payment;
- Process payroll and other related payroll tasks;
- Contribute to the overall profitability of the company; and
- Ad-hoc responsibilities as required by senior management of the Parent company.

**SKILLS & EXPERTISE**
- Be tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline and be CA or CPA qualified (preferred but not essential);
- Familiarity within a Manufacturing environment;
- Experience and familiarity with research and development grants;
- Have proven industry experience performing either financial and management accounting and overseeing a team;
- Exposure to ERP systems is essential;
- Be familiar with aspects of cost accounting;
- Possess strong reconciliation skills;
- Ability to effectively prioritize workload and effectively manage staff;
- High levels of time management and organisational skills;
- Proficiency with the Excel platform and ability to build a dashboard reporting framework for the business; and
- Have a robust personality and ability to communicate across all organisation levels - including internal and external.
