Maintenance Handyperson

**SoYa Apartment Hotel** is one of the best reviewed hotels, right in the heart of **South Yarra**. Having started its life as a classic 1960’s apartment, it was given a new lease of life with a full refurbishment in 2018. The rooms are cleverly decorated and equipped exquisitely for any type of stay; corporates, long stays, over-night, romantic getaways, social catch-ups, families and there's even pet friendly options

Currently, we are in search of a **Maintenance | Handyperson** to join us on a full-time basis. This role will be responsible for ensuring all hotel maintenance issues are resolved in a timely manner.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Ensuring all guest and staff maintenance requests are attended to.
- Complete a wide range of maintenance jobs throughout the hotel.
- Proactively identify property maintenance issues working to resolve them in a timely manner.
- Prioritise and coordinate completion of works to maximise productivity.
- Build and maintain great relationships with guests and staff.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed to mitigate risks.
- Motivate and embody the positive and fun culture we have at SoYa.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Previous experience in a similar role advantageous, but not essential.
- A strong background in a relatable trade or extensive hand tool usage.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge is OHS and risk management.
- High attention to detail.
- The ability to think on your feet and problem solve effectively.
- Have a great sense of humour.
