We're Hiring: HANDYPERSON

Are you a master of all trades with a passion for keeping things running smoothly? We're seeking a skilled and motivated Handyperson to join our team in this hands-on role, ensuring our Hotel remains in peak condition at all times. From repairs and maintenance to painting and improvements, you'll be ready to tackle any task that comes your way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain all rooms, amenities, and communal spaces to a high standard.
  • Perform urgent and non-urgent repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Follow established procedures and standards for all maintenance tasks.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and guests.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.
  • Assist with any other tasks or duties as required to support smooth operations of the Hotel.

About You

  • Physically fit and comfortable in a hands-on role.
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
  • Experienced in general building maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and tile work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and effective communicator.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • Reliable, well-presented, and safety-conscious.

Requirements

  • Attention to detail and pride in your work.
  • Proven experience in repairs and maintenance.
  • Punctual and dependable.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Understanding of OH&S practices and safe work procedures.
  • Current driver's licence
  • Minimum 3-5 years of handyperson or maintenance experience required.
  • Must have full Australian working rights as sponsorship is not available.

Shifts

This is a full-time role, however, it may suit someone seeking part-time hours over 5 days (weekdays)

  • Weekdays: Monday to Friday, between 7:00am and 3:30pm
  • Weekends: Occasionally, as required

  • In line with the Hospitality Industry (General) Award – Level 3
