About Your Opportunity

As the Property Officer, you will be responsible for the effective management and administration of property assets. This includes supporting activities relating to land tenure ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and maintaining accurate property records.

Key responsibilities

- Tenure management of Seqwater’s operational infrastructure easements, including coordinating annual fee payments and facilitating access for maintenance and construction.

- Administration of diverse lease and licence agreements across rural, recreational, community, commercial, and residential uses, ensuring compliance and managing property records, rent reviews, and renewals.

- Support for property transactions such as acquisitions, disposals, and easement establishment to meet operational needs.

- Ensuring the property portfolio complies with legislative, regulatory, and corporate plan requirements, including natural resource management responsibilities.

- Development and review of systems, policies, and procedures for effective property management and reporting, including financial monitoring and KPI tracking.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

- Experience in property, facilities or asset management across a diverse portfolio, including lease and licence negotiations, acquisitions, disposals, and knowledge of native title, cultural heritage, and valuation principles.

- Proven ability to assist with tenure administration, manage systems, monitor processes, and implement operational improvements.

- Strong administrative, organisational, and time management skills, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including report and correspondence preparation.

- Knowledge of property legislation, compliance requirements, and sustainability practices.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management systems, with analytical and reporting capabilities.

This position will be offered as a 2-year fixed term contract opportunity with a salary range of $93,934.23 - $104,732.74 plus 12.75% superannuation.
