**About the role**

We have an opportunity for a **Multicultural Community Liaison Officer** (MCLO) to be part of our St George Police Area Command. The Multicultural Community Liaison Officer is responsible for providing advice and support in the management of multicultural issues for NSWPF. They establish and maintain close personal rapport, implement strategies to engage and work effectively with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities and influence responsive and sensitive service delivery to these communities.

Whilst the NSW Police Force promotes hybrid working arrangements, this role requires active engagement with the community and therefore cannot be performed remotely.

Applicants **must**hold a current driver’s licence with no traffic offences recorded on their driving history within the last six (6) months or NSW Police Force Bronze Certification.

**Target Question 1**:
Demonstrate techniques you have used to build rapport and maintain close relationships with multiple stakeholders to address emerging issues within the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities. Provide an example of an identified issue and resolution.

**Target Question 2**:
The successful applicant will thrive in a demanding environment with multiple and complex stakeholders. Communicating effectively as well as Influencing and negotiating are imperative to this role. Use examples from your experience to show how you will meet these requirements.
