We are now seeking a smart, entrepreneurial, and commercially minded Associate Director - Data & Analytics to work within dentsu Media’s fast-growing and innovative data and analytics function.

In this exciting new role, you’ll be working with a wide variety of client and business teams, data specialists and external partners to deliver data & analytics projects and insights across a range of clients and industries.

This is a rare and new opportunity for you to build the AU data & analytics offering and play a key role in shaping the future of dentsu media in ANZ.

What your typical day will look like:

- Understand and triage client needs into data analytics, data engineering & data science requirements
- Translate client challenges into clear digital maturity models, roadmaps and strategies
- Work with senior leadership to provide regular thought leadership, insights and recommendations for best practice analytics and performance optimisation
- Support new business pitches with data driven insights and strategy
- Manage onboarding of new clients with appropriate data and analytics set up and frameworks to ensure successful transitions
- Consult on best practice tracking and data infrastructures and processes to collect and ingest the required data for Media Optimisations, Data Visualisation, Reporting and Business Intelligence

Core responsibilities include:

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior clients and dentsu leaders and be an advocate for media technology and products
- Injecting great data and digital strategic product and practice to the iPro/Carat and Dentsu business
- Ground-breaking new definition of what ‘Analytics’ means today, in trad and non-trad media
- Clear and globally recognised strategic product and way of working - internally and externally
- Converting new business/retention pitch wins with core digital & product teams
- Complete current state client capability mapping for all Carat and iProspect clients in Vic or NSW and identify and prioritise largest commercial opportunities
- Develop, lead and convert proposals per quarter for both Carat and iProspect
- Ensure effective delivery of all sold projects to completion, delivering clear insights and value to clients

A bit about you:

- Strong understanding of media planning and buying essentials
- Strong understanding of web and app data architectures, from collection and tracking (i.e. tag management), to cloud data warehouses to BI tools.
- Experience in building out exec level insights packs and dashboard that inform business and budgeting decisions
- Experience building out quality industry and category level insights that can support strategy creation
