About the team and role

Group Treasury is a small team that operates as a highly collaborative, multi-disciplined unit. Primary responsibilities include managing capital, funding, liquidity and non-traded interest rate risk positions for Bendigo & Adelaide Bank’s ~$100 billion balance sheet in accordance with Board risk appetite and policy.

Reporting to the Head of Capital Strategy & Planning, this role is responsible for supporting forecasting, monitoring, reporting, planning and analysis of BEN’s capital position, dividend policy, identification of Common Equity / AT1 / Tier 2 issuance requirements, preparation of capital materials for external disclosure (e.g., results presentations), consideration of proposed regulatory changes (impact assessment and strategic response) and responding to regulatory enquiries.

This is a 12-month fixed term position joining a team as a trusted advisor to the business and building strong relationship. Opportunity to gain exposure and work with senior stakeholders.

Flexible role location. Preferably based in Melbourne, Adelaide, Bendigo or Sydney.

Experience, capabilities and qualifications

Demonstrates a high attention to detail and accuracy
Effective negotiation and influencing skills
Appreciation of the Bank’s overall Funding objectives
A strong work ethic with a proven ability to show initiative, manage competing priorities and deliver to agreed deadlines.
High level of numerical and analytical skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel (including VBA) and presentation skills
Tertiary qualifications in a finance related and/or quantitative discipline
