**Position overview**

The ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) is the largest single College of seven Colleges at ANU. The College, which is structured into two main research schools, offers degrees in more than 20 discipline areas and excels in research across the creative arts, humanities and social sciences. The College has a substantial international research presence and is a major source of national policy advice. Our academic staff are internationally recognised for their research, and 57 are members of the Australian Academy of the Humanities, the Academy of the Social Sciences of Australia, or both. We also host 13 Australian Research Council Future Fellows and two ARC Laureates. A hub of vibrant activity, we host hundreds of lectures, concerts and exhibitions each year, most of which are open to the public. Our students, staff and graduates come from more than 60 nations, bringing a diversity of perspective to campus life.

The college is seeking a Communications Coordinator to drive the digital and written content for one of two research schools within the college structure, to showcase the academic, student and alumni achievements, and research strengths of the college. The successful applicant will have strong interpersonal, teamwork and communications skills, and will work closely with staff within the immediate team and college, and with experts working across all of ANU.

The role includes technically supporting events, video production and editing, photography, media release and story development, internal stakeholder management, advertising, digital advertising and other publications content development, event and social media management, outreach initiatives and website content development. This role works closely with a second communications officer to deliver high quality content, including written, video and audio, which tell the story of the world-class research, teaching and thinking that takes place at the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences. The role sits within the Marketing and Communications team and contributes to the whole of college marketing and communication initiatives.
