The Housing Industry Association is Australia’s peak residential building industry body.

HIA Economics is a leader in the collection, analysis and presentation of data, forecasts and policy research to members of the industry, business community, government and media.

HIA Economics produces papers and releases on the Australian housing industry outlook, strategic reviews and business plans, policy research impact statements, tailored market research, presentations and briefings.

Our team is a source of information on industry conditions, emerging trends, future scenarios and policy advice in all states and territories.

**The role**

We are seeking to appoint a person to assist HIA Economics with the creation of economic reports, publications, and media content.

The role will produce content for publications on issues impacting the building industry including economic reports and press releases.

The role will also assist in providing research and analysis as a basis for the development of policy initiatives across a broad range of industry issues.

**The person**

Analytical skills, an interest in political issues and the ability to present in public forums would be viewed favourably.

Qualifications and experience in economics and data analysis are desirable, but not essential.
