Our client is a global player in the food processing and distribution sector, and boasts an impressive presence along the eastern seaboard of Australia. Continued growth has now necessitated the requirement for a highly experienced Maintenance Planner with a background in the food/FMCG sector, to coordinate and plan maintenance activities and provide technical input to ensure high plant availability, operational efficiency and quality.

Key responsibilities will cover:

- Plan all electrical maintenance from requirement, scope, development and execution
- Planning and Scheduling of Planned and Reactive maintenance work
- Engage external vendors to perform work when required
- Work closely with Site engineer to develop annual budgets
- Develop and improve electrical equipment maintenance strategies and optimize reliability across site
- Actively participate in the improvement of site SAP PM master data
- Managing Spare part Procurement and Inventory
- Ensures that efficient, effective and safe work practices and sound working relations are constantly maintained

To be successful you should have:

- Mechanical/electrical trade certificate and 5 years experience in maintenance planning within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge and experience using SAP PM processes and procedures, along with maintenance management practices
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and PLC’s is highly regarded along with strong technical and problem-solving skills.
- Shutdown planning experience is an advantage
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills
