**Your role**

Based in Perth with opportunities to get on-country in Onslow, the role reports directly to the Compliance Officer and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and is accountable for accurate minute taking and assisting with administration and governance support.

You will recognise this means the role is crucial to ensuring the Compliance Officer and CEO are kept up to speed and supported in the day-to-day activities of the office.

Some of the broad and diverse duties will include:

- Attend all meetings and accurately take detailed minutes to reflect decisions made by Members, Partners, and legal advisors.
- Administration and governance support to Compliance Officer & CEO - including scheduling meetings for Board, subcommittees, and Members.
- Work with Compliance Officer & CEO to prepare and distribute meeting agendas/papers.
- Prepare and provide meeting action lists, ensure tasks are assigned accordingly and prompts are issued when deadlines approach.
- Prepare and distribute meeting orientation/induction packs for new Board/subcommittee members.
- Provide catering and hospitality.

**About you**

You already hold the position of Executive Assistant in your current job and are ready for a new and exciting challenge.

This means you:

- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate exceptional listening and intuitive understanding abilities with your immaculate minute taking ability.
- Demonstrate effective planning and organising skills, including time management, and know what to prioritise (often within a complex work environment with competing priorities).
- Display emotional intelligence and empathy for others as a part of your normal behaviours. You show this in how you integrate a team member’s needs, opinions and preferences into the ways work is completed.
- Act with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.

**Your qualifications and experience**

You have:

- 3+ years' experience in an executive assistant position in a demanding member-based organisation.
- Experience working with Boards, committees, and exercising a high level of judgment and discretion.
- An awareness and understanding of Aboriginal culture and communities (and the issues potentially faced in remote communities outside of Perth).
- Proficient computer software skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficient with IT & external meeting audio visual equipment (such as video conferencing software and equipment).

Although not required, if you have a degree in business administration, communications, or a related field this will be highly regarded.
