**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) Administrative Policy and Procedure Officer to lead our organisation's efforts in navigating the complex and ever-evolving NDIS landscape. The NDIS Administrative Policy and Procedure Officer will be responsible for formulating, implementing, and managing NDIS-related policies, procedures, and compliance to ensure the highest level of service delivery and participant support. This role requires understanding of the NDIS framework and the ability to shape policy in line with organisational goals.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Policy Development: Develop, implement, and review NDIS policies and procedures in alignment with the organisation's objectives, NDIS guidelines, and relevant legislation.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with NDIS regulations, standards, and quality assurance processes.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, to represent the organisation's interests and advocate for policy changes when necessary.
- Provide training and guidance to staff members to ensure they understand and follow NDIS policies and procedures, promoting best practices.
- Establish mechanisms to monitor the effectiveness of NDIS policies, track outcomes, and evaluate their impact on service delivery and participant outcomes.
- Effectively communicate NDIS policies to all relevant parties within the organisation, ensuring clarity and understanding.
- Identify potential risks in policy implementation and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Drive ongoing policy development and refinement, keeping up-to-date with changes in NDIS regulations and industry best practices.
- Reporting: Prepare reports for senior management and relevant authorities on policy adherence and performance, as required.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Knowledge of the NDIS framework and regulations.
- Previous experience in NDIS policy development and management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding high standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
**Preferred**:
- Qualifications in a relevant field.
- Experience in a similar role within the disability support sector.
- Familiarity with relevant software and tools for policy management and reporting.
**Working Conditions**:
- This position typically operates in an office environment.
- Some travel may be required for stakeholder engagement and policy-related activities.
- The role may involve working outside of standard business hours to meet reporting and compliance deadlines.
