We are a busy steel reinforcing manufacturer based in Dandenong seeking an Operations Supervisor.

**About the role**

With 14 direct reports, you will hold a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of day-to-day manufacturing operations. Operating across two shifts, this site predominantly processes reinforcing bar.

Your primary focus will be managing and empowering production staff, enhancing employee performance, optimising production input & output while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

**Your priorities include**:

- Managing a team of Operators and Team Leaders
- Ensuring all WHS management system requirements are met and safety standards are maintained.
- Leading and managing the shift to ensure the production and output KPIs are met.
- Collaborating with key internal stakeholders
- Identifying and reporting on opportunities for improvement initiatives
- Allocating appropriate manning and ensuring employees are trained, fit, qualified, and competent. to effectively run operations.

**About your experience**:
We are seeking an experienced leader with a strong background in people management within

manufacturing or associated heavy industries. Your expertise in robust safety practices, fostering

relationships and adapting to changing priorities will be essential.

**You will also have**:

- High-level problem-solving, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
- Proven experience supervising or managing large teams in manufacturing or relevant industries.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, including Microsoft Suite.
- Solid understanding of safety management systems and cultivating a safety culture.
- Strong time management, organisation and communication skills.
