The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Team Leader (Older Persons Community Mental Health) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 10 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide efficient and responsive mental health care, utilising advanced level of knowledge, and skills in the area of clinical practice and mental health
- Integrate the principles of contemporary human, material and financial resource management into service delivery
- Coordinate, formulate and direct policies relating to the provision of mental health care or disciplinary specific specialty services
- Represent Mental Health and Specialist Services at internal and interagency forums and build collaborative partnerships with health and other sector providers
- Be accountable for accurate data management and record maintenance using various systems

About you

**To be successful in this position you will require**:

- A Tertiary Degree in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work or Speech Pathology
- AHPRA registration (Occupational Therapist/Psychologist only)
- Driver Licence
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and COVID 19
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

Salary
- Temporary full time (12 months with the possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $130 149 - $135 803 per annum

About Us
Continuing Care Community (CCC) teams are located at Southport Health Precinct, Robina Hospital and at the Palm Beach Community Health Centre. We provide specialist, acute and ongoing, community mental health services for consumers aged between 18 - 65 years. Care and treatment are consumer focused, multidisciplinary, comprehensive and collaborative.
Older Persons Community Mental Health (OPCMH) is a team within the CCC service line. OPCMH provide specialised, community-based multidisciplinary services, including mental health assessment and treatment, for adults over the age of 65 years who have a severe and complex mental illness, which is complicated by problems relating to ageing.
