**THE OPPORTUNITY**

This is an awesome career move for a Senior SMSF Accountant to lead a small professional team of SMSF specialists that provide exceptional service and solutions to their growing SMSF portfolio.

As an SMSF Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in the management of the SMSF team.

Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you will work closely with the financial planning partners to ensure seamless collaboration and client satisfaction.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Lead and coordinate the team as the central contact for SMSF matters
- Ensure SMSFs comply with legal requirements, preparing necessary audit workpapers
- Provide personalized advice, guiding clients through SMSF processes for their retirement goals
- Prepare and analyse financial statements of SMSF Clients, offering optimization insights.
- Manage all SMSF administrative tasks, including contributions, investments, and pension payments. Lodge BAS and IAS monthly or quarterly
- Stay informed on industry trends, legislation changes, and contribute innovative ideas to enhance services

**EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED**
- Enjoy working in a team with a great culture at work and socially
- 5 years’ experience in accounting and taxation, mainly with a focus on SMSFs preferably in a supervisory role
- Be familiar with relevant SMSF legislation, ATO guidelines and compliance requirements
- Be experienced with Class Super and/or BGL
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate

effectively with both accounting and financial planning teams
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
- Have demonstrated SMSF technical skills in line with the SIS legislation
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
- Possess professional certification such as CPA, CA, IPA SMSF Specialist accreditation
