
Social Media Specialist

Reporting to the Communications Team Lead, the Social Media Specialist is responsible for Chisholm’s day-to-day organic social media activity including:
- creation and coordination of audience
- and channel-specific content
- driving and managing positive brand awareness and engagement on Chisholm-owned social media channels, and
- monitoring and managing Chisholm’s online community.
A recognised specialist in community management and online engagement, the Social Media Specialist champions best practice in organic social media. They use deep sector experience and current understanding to develop and deliver strategically aligned organic social media content plans that guide and enhance how Chisholm communicates online. They work to identify, leverage and expand Chisholm-appropriate opportunities through the effective use of digital communication.
**ABOUT YOU**
You will have a relevant degree (marketing, public relations, media, journalism or communications) and social media experience, or an equivalent combination of extensive relevant experience and/or education and training
You will have a collaborative and engaging presence backed by:
- Comprehensive experience in organic social media and community management, with a strong understanding of engagement strategies and enquiry resolution.
- Strong ability to translate a corporate strategy into a successful organic media strategy.
- Proven ability to research, identify correct audience insights, plan, recommend and roll out strategy
- Proven ability to create and implement organic social media procedures across a large and diverse organisation.
- Extensive experience in digital and relationship marketing with a diverse group of stakeholders, including managing complex team environments.
- Excellent copywriting, editing and communication skills.
- Excellent photography, video capture and editing skills using mobile technologies.
- Excellent content management skills and experience working to a project methodology.
- Understanding of community psychology and behaviour, as well as brand building through storytelling.
- Experience in developing, implementing and adjusting a monthly content plan across organic social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
- Well-developed stakeholder management skills with an ability to manage multiple stakeholders across the business.
- Extensive experience across various social media management tools and platforms.
- Knowledge of emerging platforms and how the business may be positively engaged.
- Experience in advising on social media response and engagement on complex matters.
- Ability to educate, support and guide various stakeholders and employees about social media best practice.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and effectively with agility.
