**About North Western Program Alliance**:
North Western Program Alliance (NWPA) consists of three Alliance partners - John Holland, KBR and MTM and the client (LXRP), working together as one team to achieve shared goals.
NWPA has a proven track record with the successful delivery of four level crossing removal projects, several premium stations, three projects currently in delivery and two in development phase.

We are currently looking for an experienced **People Advisor **to join us.
**About the Role**:
Whilst you will be initially based on the North Western Program Alliance, this is a permanent career opportunity with John Holland.
As a** People Advisor**, you will provide human resource management support and advice to Projects across the Alliance, including guidance on recruitment, onboarding, training and development, performance management, remuneration and cultural diversity. This role also has a focus on coordinating and supporting learning and development duties, to ensure the pipeline of talent is managed and developed in line with the wider capability framework.
You will work with managers across multiple departments to ensure training and development requirements are met.
Reporting to the People Lead, you will join an experienced People team with a supportive culture and focus on collaboration and success.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide general assistance to the Human Resource function in the implementation of HR strategies and projects
- Partner with the People Lead to provide operational support and advice in relation to emerging and top talent
- Build positive relationships through influence and negotiation with employees, managers, subcontractors, and external stakeholder groups across the business
- Deliver presentations, facilitate meetings, welcome inductions and training workshops, and engage with various work groups to achieve desired outcomes
- Continuously seek ways of improving processes and strive towards efficient ways of working
- Assist to obtain recommendations on salary benchmarking and remunerations packages
- Support the development and delivery of people development initiatives, e.g. webinars, presentations, networking events, workshops and broader programs
- Provide counselling and support to managers and employees with regard to problems affecting work performance
- Provide support regarding people capability queries (induction, onboarding, performance management and development planning)
- Develop and coordinate programs as required for the successful delivery and execution of learning and development requirements
- Implementation of training and development initiatives in the organisation
- Support the development and delivery of people development initiatives, e.g. webinars, presentations, networking events, workshops and broader programs
- Generate reports from various databases, which may include information on training and development and performance management, and make recommendations to employees and managers
**To be successful in this key role**:
- Post-secondary school training or TAFE certificate in HR, IR/ER, Education, Psychology or Business
- Degree or higher in Business, Human Resource Management, Legal, Finance or other associated disciplines
- More than 3 years’ experience in a HR Advisor role or similar
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of national and state regulatory frameworks
- Knowledge of contractual and commercial awareness
- Knowledge of employment legislation, including government policy
- Experience in HR project work, leading an initiative or desired outcome
- Experience in to Learning and Development highly regarded, eg. development of training programs
- Conduct training needs analysis and propose recommended solutions
- Strong interpersonal skills and social awareness with proven stakeholder management experience in an advisory level
