**The role**

This Department is seeking an experienced Project Officer to work on project that promote long term outcomes for energy consumers.

It is through to 29th of December with possible extensions.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide project support
- Contribute to the evaluation of funded programs and projects and assess milestones against policy objectives
- Undertake research and analysis to improve current programs and develop innovative programs and projects
- Establish and maintain registers and data relating to contract management and the monitoring of projects
- Identify risks and develop a risk register, monitor programs and projects and prepare reports

**Required**
- Experience providing project support
- Experience in Energy sector and/or Government
- An understanding of Government, departmental and Ministerial functions and processes is desirable.
- Knowledge of contract management
