The Treasury is seeking APS5-6 Analysts to join the Budget Policy Division. The successful applicant/s will join one of the following teams: Budget Priorities and Reporting Unit, Budget Estimates and Analysis Unit, and Budget Delivery Unit.

**The Budget Priorities and Reporting Unit** provides analysis and advice to the Treasurer and Treasury Executives on Government decision-making. The team play a leading role in developing and communicating the Budget narrative and priorities, including through the Budget statements, and support briefing for the Treasurer and Executive in relation to Expenditure Review Committee (ERC) processes.

**The Budget Estimates and Analysis Unit** provides analysis and advice to the Treasurer and Treasury Executive on the fiscal outlook, short-term expenditure trends, debt, balance sheet and accounting issues. The BEAU team also coordinate and draft several Budget statements.

**The Budget Delivery Unit** work across Treasury and Finance to coordinate delivery of budget updates, including setting and monitoring progress against the Budget timetable. They are the central point of contact for the Treasurer’s Office and Senior Executive. Outside of Budget updates, the Unit works to innovate and improve our budget delivery systems and processes.

Working as part of a team, the Analyst may:

- Develop budget material and other analysis and advice while working closely with senior Treasury officials and internal and external stakeholders.
- Deliver timely and high-quality outcomes that influence Government decision-making.
- Engage in problem-solving to innovate and improve budget documents and systems.

- Subject matter expertise in economics, accounting, or public policy.
- Data or Excel experience.
