Our client is an industry-leading engineering manufacturer based in Melbourne's South-Eastern Suburbs. Due to an exciting time of development and growth, they are currently looking for a hands-on Sheet Metal Fabrication Team Leader to uphold workspace safety, drive top-tier product quality, and tackle manufacturing hurdles. The role is 80% on the tools working on customer orders, and 20% admin. Do you have what it takes?

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Overseeing all production aspects relating to the sheet metal fabrication area.
- Ensuring the timely completion of internally manufactured sheet metal parts as per the production schedule.
- Ensuring product quality requirements are met every time.
- Adhering to all safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all staff
- Identifying opportunities to improve company processes and products.

**About you**:

- Minimum 5 years’ prior work experience within a fabrication environment
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings is **essential**:

- Good understanding of CNC equipment setup, limits and capabilities (specifically turret punches, press brakes and guillotines.)
- Forklift license **essential**:

- Safety conscious
- Good attention to details
- A problem solver with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent communicator
- Work well within a team environment, as well as without direct supervision
- Punctual and reliable, with strong time management skills
- Manufacturing Diploma/Cert or Trade Qualification highly desirable
