**Evening Picker Packing Team Leader**

Dandenong South location

We require an evening Team Leader to co-ordinate the picker packing process, supervising a team of up to 8 staff.

Hours: approximately 5pm to 1.30 am Monday to Friday

**Salary**: $75,000 - $85,000

**Fergys Food** is a supplier of quality fresh baked goods seven days a week, to restaurants, hotels, local coffee shops, national clients, and special events throughout Melbourne. Our range includes fresh sour dough breads, pastries, cakes and slices.

Reporting to the Production Manager, this is a hands-on role.

**You will need**:

- an understanding of food handling and good food handling practice
- empathy for food products since many products can be fragile or require special handling
- good organisational and process management skills
- to be able to deal with fast paced dynamic processes
- to be happy to deal with detail, ensuring packing and despatch lists are completed correctly
- to remember that our customers depend on this shift to get the detail right, so they can open their own businesses on time and provide great product to their customers
- a positive attitude and good communication skills
- good numeracy skills
- your own transport
- previous team leader experience
- to be fit, able bodied, and able to lift 15 kgs repeatedly

**The role entails**:

- setting up for the nightly processes: laying out products and allocating manpower to each process (bread slicing, picking prepacking products, and dealing with fresh baked items as they come from the oven)
- planning and allocating workloads to maximise efficiency and deadlines
- keeping packers on target to meet time deadlines for despatching delivery runs
- completing run manifests so drivers are clear on what to load
- rostering staff over seven days
- maintaining OH&S protocols

**Salary**: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
