**AfternoonPacking Team Leader**

Dandenong South location

We require a full-time afternoon Team Leader to co-ordinate the packing process, supervising a team of up to 8 staff.

Hours: approximately11am to 7pm Monday to Friday

**Fergys Food** is a supplier of quality baked goods to national clients, restaurants, hotels, local coffee shops, and special events throughout Melbourne. Our range includes fresh sour dough breads, pastries, cakes and slices.

This role will start as a full-time casual position, offering an averge of 38 hours per week. The job will turn into a permanet role once the trial period has been completed.

**You will need**:

- an understanding of food handling and good food handling practice
- empathy for food products since many products can be fragile or require special handling
- good organisational and process management skills
- to be able to deal with fast paced dynamic processes
- to be happy to deal with detail, ensuring packing and despatch lists are completed correctly
- a positive attitude and good communication skills
- good numeracy skills
- previous team leader experience
- be flexible and approachable
- bring your hands-on approach to everything you do
- to be fit, able bodied, and able to lift 15 kgs repeatedly

**The role entails**:

- setting up for the packing processes such as banana bread slicing; prepacking products ready for night dispatch, dealing with fresh baked items as they come from the oven, and flow wrapping frozen products.
- planning and allocating workloads to maximise efficiency and deadlines
- managing packing materials, box folding etc.
- pallet wrapping and labelling
- ability to work in the freezer for short periods (30 minutes)
- maintaining OH&S protocols
- fork lift licence helpful but not essential

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
