Onsite Rental Group (Onsite) is a specialist B2B equipment rental business. We have over 30 years' experience in this industry, with 450+ employees, across 30+ branches and targeted co-locations. With more than 70,000+ pieces of equipment, our strategically placed national branch network ensures we can fulfill our customers' rental plant and machinery requirements wherever their next project is located, whilst remaining nimble enough to support local projects.
**Description**:
This role will have you safely and successfully leading the service team and coordinating resources and jobs, to maximise equipment availability for hire.
**Tasks & Responsibilities**:
- Prioritise and allocate the completion of workshop jobs in accordance with service schedules, budgets and deadlines required to meet hires
- Train, supervise and mentor employees to ensure high standards of work are achieved and employees are provided the opportunity to learn and develop in their roles
- Ensure all necessary parts, consumables, tools, and equipment are available to allow for efficient completion of workshop jobs
- Ensure all workshop activities are completed in accordance with Onsite policies, processes, and procedures
- Ensure all equipment is inspected upon return and immediately report, record, and notify in relation to customer damage to allow costs to be captured / recouped
- Ensure all required paperwork is completed and submitted for self and team
- Manage workshop job and labour costs and report on service Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
- Assist the Branch Manager to undertake people related requirements for your team including; recruitment & selection, onboarding, performance management, learning & development
- Provide technical support & guidance to internal & external stakeholders
- Ensure workshop set up is appropriate for tasks undertaken and high standard of housekeeping is maintained
- Carry out mechanical inspections, scheduled servicing, and routine maintenance in accordance with manufacturer and SHEQ requirements both in the workshop and on customer sites (as required)
- Carry out equipment repairs to restore full functionality
- Assist in the completion of stocktakes and asset disposals
**Desired Skills and Experience**:
- Trade qualification in mechanical, hydraulics, fitter and/or auto electrician
- Ability to promote, influence and drive a positive safety culture
- Exceptional planning, organisational and prioritisation skills
- Strong leadership and relationship building skills
- Ability to use systems and complete system reporting requirements
- Ability to multitask and be flexible
- Confident communicator with collaborative approach to supervision
- Knowledge of hire industry fleet servicing, repair, and maintenance requirements
