**The Role**:
To ensure continued success we are searching for a Tourism and Event Sales Manager to join the Sirromet team. This is a 12 month, fixed term contract (maternity leave cover) with the opportunity to join the team on a permanent basis in a new role beyond this. The key focus of this role will ensure the smooth running and operations of sales and coordination for the Sirromet functions and events business.

**In this role, you will be responsible for**:

- Managing the function sales & coordination team to ensure key deliverables are being achieved.
- Managing and delivering on budgeted targets and KPI’s (including Weddings Executive and Functions Coordinators).
- Generating leads for Weddings & MICE market.
- Working closely with Sirromet operations and chefs to ensure policies and procedures are followed and updated where required.
- Presenting and showcasing our facilities to potential clients.
- Supplying venue and package information to potential clients.
- Coaching and developing the team to achieve individual and shared goals.
- Representing the Company at various events and exhibitions to promote and generate new business.
- Preparing sales reports on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
- Working closely with other teams within the business to ensure product alignment and rate alignment is maintained.
- Minimum of 3-5 years recent sales track record in a similar role with experience in weddings/events.
- Experience using iVvy Functions Management software would be advantageous.
- A passion and drive to succeed and convert enquiries into sales.
- Motivated and able to work under pressure.
- Positive, engaging, and enthusiastic personality.
- Superb presentation and grooming.
- Effective and efficient computer, time management, written and verbal communication skills.
- A genuine commitment to making every guest feel special and exceed the customer’s expectations.
- Available to work the occasional weekend.
- Inter / Intra State travel may be required for trade shows.
- Own reliable transport.
- Full working rights within Australia.
