Reconciliation SA is seeking a skilled Events and Ticketing Coordinator to help deliver high-profile events that promote truth-telling, healing, and community connection.

About the Role

We/'re looking for an experienced and passionate Events and Ticketing Coordinator to join the Events and Sponsorship Manager in playing a key role in delivering some of South Australia’s most impactful events, including the National Reconciliation Week Breakfast (Australia’s largest of its kind) and the Reconciliation SA Fundraiser Gala.

You’ll also manage ticketing operations for all Reconciliation SA events, coordinate community event participation, support volunteers, and contribute to inclusive and meaningful experiences for thousands of annual event attendees.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Delivery - Event Delivery & Logistics

- Coordinate ticketing builds and management for Reconciliation SA events using Humanitix
- Support delivery of major events including the National Reconciliation Week Breakfast and Fundraiser Gala
- Manage logistics such as travel and accommodation for entertainers and rostering for event volunteers
- Coordinate event spaces including exhibition halls, sponsor and marketplace displays
- Assist with event evaluations, risk management, and post-event reporting
- Coordinate Reconciliation SA’s participation in community-led events such as NAIDOC Family Day and Closing the Gap Day

Community & Stakeholder Engagement

- Engage respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and partner organisations
- Work closely with key identified external stakeholders to activate regional participation of the National Reconciliation Week breakfast
- Support collaborative programs with members, sponsors, and partners
- Recruit, roster, and support event volunteers and staff
- Provide a high quality of customer service to ticket holders via email, phone and in-person communications

Marketing, Fundraising & Budgeting

- Support marketing campaigns and contribute to event communications
- Assist with fundraising activities including silent auctions and donor engagement
- Contribute to event budgeting and financial tracking

Team Engagement

- Positively represent and educate Reconciliation SA to all stakeholders.
- Maintain a safe and healthy workplace, identify, and act upon potential workplace hazards and identify and implement improvements
- Operate in line with Reconciliation SA’s policies and procedures and follow reasonable directions to help ensure the health, safety and welfare of self and others
- Participate in an annual performance development and management program and professional development programs
- Providing confidential administrative support by answering phones, greeting visitors / contractors, supporting partnerships, sponsors and members when they arrive and ensuring referrals to staff and data entry are done in a timely manner

About You

About You

You/'re an experienced event coordinator with a passion for creating inclusive, culturally respectful, and impactful experiences. You’re highly organised, self-motivated, tech-savvy and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and dynamic small team environment.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

- Tertiary qualifications in events, marketing, tourism, or a related field.
- At least 3 years’ experience in event coordination, major event or festival experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Humanitix), project management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, including phone and face-to-face support.
- Commitment to the principles of Reconciliation, cultural safety, and respectful community engagement.
