Advance Thinking are a boutique consultancy with a great network of clients across many industries.

Currently we are looking for a Data Governance & Security Manager for one of our Financial services clients.

**Your Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities**
- Implement the Data Governance Framework and Policy through establishment of the Data Office within the Technology department
- Understand the general business function of the data in conjunction with the Data Business Owners and ensure that the data is handled efficiently
- Establish and maintain relationships with business representatives to enable quality data management
- Establish and maintain processes to govern changes to data in line with the Data Governance Framework
- Establish and maintain a training capability for data to raise the awareness of data management across the organisation
- Oversee the Information Security team in implementing the Information Security Framework in a timely and efficient manner
- Stay up to date on technology developments related to the Superannuation industry relevant to data management and regulatory reporting
- Ensure all data management and information security practices adhere to regulatory standards
- Working with the IT Security team, ensure that data is maintained for security of information and access

**Your Key Deliverables**
- Establish and maintain the Data Office in line with the Data Governance Framework
- Ensure data is classified, controlled, and secured in the most efficient manner available
- Management of Information Security capability, ensuring sufficient capacity to meet demand and ongoing improvements in process

**You**
- At least eight years’ experience in the IT industry within the financial services industry with a deep knowledge of data architecture and governance functions
- Experience in Information Security management within the financial services industry
- Strong stakeholder management skills, people leadership skills, governance and control and change management experience
- Able to assess stakeholder needs & translate into appropriate services
- Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills
- Strong staff coaching and leadership skills
- Strong communication, written, oral and presentation skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Strong data management capability
- Approval Authorities are as per Delegations Policy
