**How will I help?**
As a Credit Control Manager in the CBB Credit Risk Hub team, your key responsibility is to provide oversight and independent monitoring for Commercial Banking, Business Banking, SME customer and Private Wealth exposures to ensure that they are being appropriately managed and controlled. You will be responsible for:
- Monitoring the intraday funds positions of Commercial and Business Bank customers across Australia processing payments against their accounts through the various internal processing systems and electronic product delivery channels of the Bank.
- Decisioning customer payment requests exceeding their available funds and/or discreet credit limits within approved authority levels and payment type cut-off times daily. May decision other customer transactions that give rise to transaction risk. (3rd Party chq deposits / foreign currency chq negotiations).
- Escalates to relevant Account Manager or Credit Manager if outside own authority or if any other concerns are present
- Monitors the portfolio to ensure alignment with Credit Risk’s Appetite, optimal credit quality and effective account control practices are in place and managed
- Ensures that lending decisions by Bankers are soundly based, involve appropriate research/analysis and reflect the Bank's current underwriting standards, policies and risk appetite for the segment. Applies appropriate hindsighting, including feedback to leaders on findings
- Live the values of Helpful, Ethical, Lead Change, Performing and Simple. Demonstrates a partnership approach with credit and fosters relationships to achieve the best outcomes for the Business.
- Identifies barriers that undermine working collaboratively with credit and escalates as appropriate to resolve. Share knowledge and experiences of teamwork to empower other team members to build sound and productive working relationships with Business Partners
- Understands and contributes to the 3LOD Vision. Utilises coaching techniques to gain commitment from teams where development opportunities have been identified.
Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:
Professional Development:
- Completion of all mandatory training in a timely manner
- Personal Development Plan updated and reviewed regularly
- Completion of minimum 8 hours of individually tailored professional development annually
Operational:
- Completion of weekly, fortnightly and monthly reports as required.
- Managing self-development and cross-skilling requirements
Stakeholder management:
- Actively partnering with key business stakeholders to help drive a ‘risk first’ culture and act a true trusted advisor.
- Articulating and influencing key decisions across both BAU activities, continuous improvement and change management, and help facilitate best practice.
Continuous improvement:
- Identifying and leading continuous improvement initiatives to materially improve business processes.
- Embedding risk culture within own team and the stakeholders.

**What do I need?**
You will be an experienced professional with 5+ years’ experience in banking/financial services.
Knowledge of risk management & risk optimisation practices
Strong communication skills, both written and analytical, problem-solving skills, as well as stakeholder management skills, are essential.
An organised, analytical thinker who can take complex information and simplify for various audiences would be well positioned for success within the role.
Multi brand exposure and systems knowledge is preferred.
