Credit Controller

Omnicom Media Group is one of the largest Media Agency networks in the world made up of Media buying/planning, specialist digital agencies and creative agencies. Headquartered in the US, the Australian turnover is in excess of $3bn+ annually.
We are now looking for a Credit Controller to join our team in a full Credit Control / Accounts Receivable function.
We process on average 11,000+ invoices per month and have a strict policy on payment terms. We need someone to join our team, who is not afraid of hard work, enjoys a challenge, and willing to go the extra mile to get the job done.
This is more than your average ‘Credit Control' role and whilst chasing outstanding payments is part of your day to day, there will be weekly reporting and debtor insurance management.
Reporting to the Credit Manager, you will be a joining a team of (8) & your responsibilities will include:

- Collect all monies owed in alignment with the assigned credit terms as per the due date & manage all aged debt with clear invoice status updates
- Obtain Debtor payment confirmations and update the Cash Forecast monthly
- Work closely with the Business Directors of each Agency and keep them updated with all account queries and non-payment of accounts
- Manage Insurance limits assigned to all clients - when exceeded, revoked or not granted
- Liaise with Insurance Brokers as required
- Escalate all Debtors exceeding the assigned ageing as per the Global Insurance Policy
- Ensure all Prebill (prepayment) Clients and their accounts are managed closely
- Ensure Debtor Statements are despatched monthly
- Prepare all reporting inclusive of Global requests as per deadlines assigned e.g. Cash Forecasts / Debtor Watch List / Working Capital Call / Insurance Reviews & Quarter End forecasts
- Maintain a positive rapport with all internal and external Clients
- Manage all adjustments until the unpaid invoices are cleared from the account or the issue is resolved
- Assist with month end receipting
- Complete assigned month-end reporting
- Maintain the general Credit Control mailbox and ensure timely turnaround on queries & requests
- Assist the AR Team with any other workload requirements and/or ad-hoc duties e.g. SOX and Audits
- Work longer hours where necessary to achieve the Department & your assigned deadlines.

**Required Skills & Experience**:

- At least 5 years + in a full function Credit Control / Accounts Receivable role/s
- Passionate about a career in Credit Control / Accounts Receivables
- Results driven and goal oriented
- Experience with high volume debtor accounts warranting strong reconciliation skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills is a must
- Experience in dealing with blue chip Clients on a global scale would be an advantage
- A can-do attitude, attention to detail and a keen eye for problem solving
- Excellent communication skills
- Intermediate Excel skills required e.g. Pivot Tables and Vlookup
