The Team Leader (Financial Operations) is a role in which you will:

- Provide direct supervision for a small team of processors including monitoring workloads and performance, ensuring appropriate internal controls, and training of new staff
- Coordinate all transaction based financial services to ensure compliance and accurate data input. This includes:

- checking and posting documents entered into the finance system including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journals and purchase requisitions
- overseeing chart maintenance for CAA and multiple customers
- overseeing banking and cash receipting
- Perform foreign exchange transactions
- Manage coding and workflow of incoming CAA AP invoices within the Automated Accounts Payable (AAP) platform.
- Produce monthly accounts receivable statements for multiple customers and CAA including debt management and follow up for CAA
- Provide support and administration tasks for various CAA Financial systems
- Assist in the development, monitoring and review of workflows, work instructions, internal policies and procedures related to the tasks undertaken by the team on behalf of multiple customers
- Initiate remedial action where necessary to ensure Financial Operations operate in accordance with professional and public sector standards and legislation and organisational policies and procedures
- Provide advice and assistance to internal and external customers and maintain good working relationships with key customer contact officers to meet SLA requirements
- Cultivate a team environment that actively seeks business process improvements and adopts technological innovations, with consideration to improving experiences for customers and productivity measures in the team
- Foster a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of First Nations people and actively engage through our work to contribute to better outcomes for First Nations people.
