**Who we are**

**The Cyber Security and Desktop Services Branch** support staff within the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry and the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water with ICT needs and looks after the department’s cyber security. Our service desks and VIP support teams assist with (ICT) equipment requests, incidents, telephone, and conference services across all areas of the departments. We provide ICT support to regional and remote offices around Australia. We advise on cyber security and help business areas to conduct their work safely and securely.

**The Job**

The main duties of the position include, but are not limited to:

- Improving and assuring the department’s Essential 8 Maturity Level requirements in relation to identity and access management.
- Develop and implement robust access control policies, procedures, and standards.
- Ensure the ongoing operation of the department’s IAM capability.
- Work with business teams to design identity and access management solutions that meet departmental requirements, and integrate these into new and existing systems.
- Provide reporting to senior management and audit areas on identity and security related issues.
- Skills and Capabilities_
- Ability to coordinate and work with resources across a multi-vendor environment.
- Problem solving and issue resolution skills in a complex environment.
- Display a high level of initiative and organisational skills, including the ability to judge competing priorities and work effectively with limited supervision.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- A focus on developing high quality security and end user outcomes.
- Knowledge and experience_
- Proven ability to work inside a complex operating environment.
- Experience in leading a team to deliver high quality outputs.
- Experience in a government security environment.
- Experience with an identity management system is desirable.

**Eligibility**
Security Clearance - This position requires a Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance. You will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
