**About the Role**:
We are seeking a driven and dynamic **Business Development Associate** to help grow our reach across the construction and mining industries. This role is ideal for an engineering-minded individual who understands the technical challenges of our audience, and can effectively build strong client relationships, identify training needs, and close opportunities with confidence.
This position is **90% remote**, with occasional in-person meetings, conferences, or industry events as needed.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the construction and mining sectors.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships with industry professionals, companies, and government bodies.
- Promote and sell our education and training solutions aligned with client needs.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams to tailor course offerings.
- Represent the Institute at industry events, expos, and webinars (online or in-person).
- Maintain accurate records of leads, pipelines, and outcomes using CRM tools.
**About You**:
- Background in **engineering** or a related technical discipline (civil, materials, mining, or mechanical preferred).
- Proven experience in **business development, customer service**, or **sales**—ideally within the construction or education sectors.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- **French-speaking** is highly desirable due to growing international engagement.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in a **remote environment**.
- Experience with CRM software and remote collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Teams, HubSpot, etc.)

Pay: $55,087.52 - $123,669.84 per year
