**About Us**:
Calamvale Special School is a prep to 12 school catering for students with a wide variety of abilities. We have an unwavering commitment to placing the students firmly at the centre of everything we do. An understanding of the impacts of disability on life and learning is not critical but the desire to develop this is. We work closely with staff to develop their capability and provide an extensive beginning and early career teacher support, whether you are new to teaching or special schools. You would be part of a strong school culture where there is a firm belief that every student will succeed and be appreciated for the joy that they are.
**About the Role**:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Deputise for the Principal when required.
- Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
